  • Regularly act on behalf of parties to shareholder disputes and recently acting for the trustees of an estate making an unfair prejudice claim against the director shareholders.
  • Acted on behalf of a financial institution making a professional negligence claim against one of its panel monitoring surveyors and its valuer in connection with the construction of a multimillion-pound private residence.
  • Acted on behalf of a private individual defending a multimillion-pound claim for fraudulent misrepresentation and breach of director’s duties made by a private equity firm.
  • Acted on behalf of a client who was the subject of an Anton Piller order which was obtained on the basis of allegations of computer hacking and breaches of copyright and confidentiality.  
  • Acted on behalf of an American telecoms business which was the claimant in a multimillion-pound dispute. The proceedings ultimately involved eight parties and experts from five separate disciplines. The matter was settled shortly before trial following a complex multi-party mediation.
  • Acted on behalf of an internet-based contact lens retailer making multiple claims against a former logistics provider arising from the termination of the relationship. The client asserted breaches of database rights, copyright, and fraud with a value in excess of £3 million.  
  • Acted on behalf of a company that provides IT solutions and services which made a claim for £4 million of unpaid invoices against a utilities company and defending a counterclaim for £15 million. The dispute arose as the result of a £19 million fraud committed by an employee of the utility company.
  • Acted on behalf of two of three members of several specific purpose vehicle limited liability partnerships (LLPs) in a multimillion-pound claim against the other member involving allegations of fraud and misappropriation of funds of the LLPs.
