Edward is the head of Acuity’s London office and an experienced real estate and real estate finance lawyer. He previously worked in the city with DLA Piper, firstly as a solicitor and then as a consultant, specialising in real estate finance and real estate restructuring law. Edward left DLA Piper to set up the commercial law firm Maple & Black in 2011, which specialised in real estate and corporate law before merging it with Acuity Law in 2018.

Edward has a notable and varied client base acting for property investors, developers, lending institutions and restructuring practitioners as well as advising in the sports, media, restaurant and leisure industries.

  • Acting for Credit Suisse on the sale of 27-35 Poultry, the old Midland Bank HQ (location of the infamous Goldfinger bullion vaults) now known as The Ned
  • Advising various London restauranteurs and investors on establishing high end restaurants in the city and west end of London
  • Acting for Our/Vodka (a global venture by Pernod Ricard) on the acquisition of their distillery in London
